The Sacred Valley, it`s composed of mountains and valley connected by the Urubamba river between the village of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo.
Precisely in those two place are located the most important archeological sites of the region. Some historians sustain that the according to the mythology, the valley had sacred character, because the river that flows along the valley was finally joining the milky way, the celestial river. For that reason in the Sacred Valley built a series of sanctuaries to observe and revere the constellations. The study for the Incas did in the universe was recorded myths and in same chronicles Spanish, but the greater part of this knowledge has been lost. However the scholars have managed to outline an approximation of their observations on the constellations, probably the Incas classified as : The shining ones (joining the most brilliants stars in order to create shapes), The dark ones (formed by the dark zones of the universe). The figures obtained, but obviously related to the world that surrounded the Andean culture of the condor, llama, etc.

PISAQ :
It's the first way in this tour, it is situated in the highest point of the sacred valley, at 33 Kms from the city of Cusco, it's very interesting to visit pisaq, because the local people are wearing their best clothes to show to the foreign people. URUBAMBA :
It is located at 78 Kms. From the city of Cusco in the road towards Pisaq. Situaded in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. It was very popular for it's fertility. And also is located in the bottom of the snowed peaks of Chicon and Pumahuanca and finally it's meeting the best typical food as the region of Cusco, in which we are going to take our lunch.
OLLANTAYTAMBO :
following the tour schedule Ollantaytambo it's located in the north zone of the Valley, at 97 Kms. From the city of Cusco. We can find this fortress on the bank of Urubamba river. It is the only Inca Site that keeps intact it's buildings which are used as homes for living for its actual holders. On the top there is the Temple of the Sun, built with huges rocks, the sun dial, the baths of the princess with an fantastic fountains, in the other side of the mountain is meeting the lord Tunupa and under him there are deposit food. The legend says that this name is due to the Cacique Ollanta who had fall in love of Inca Pachakutec's daughter called kusi Q'oyllur for that reason every year is celebrated the Ollantay Raymi.
CHINCHERO :
It's the last place of this tour, and to get to Chinchero we have to come back to Urubamba and from there to Chinchero, once more, we can see the Colonial church, which was built over the Inka wall, and finally we are going to back to the city of Cusco at 6:30 pm aprox.
